2nd leg of my Christmas Eve flights, Japan Airlines from Tokyo (Haneda) to Helsinki, Finland.
Another upgrade, this time from Economy to Premium Economy (not as lucky as the previous flight).
As you will see, there was only a light load of passengers on this flight, probably due to it previously being an 8-9hr flight, but now having to avoid Russian airspace, it is a 13hr+ flight.
Soon after reaching cruise altitude, the first meal was served.I opted for the Hamburger Steak with Bamboo Charcoal Teriyaki Sauce & Rice… along with side dishes… lets just say, interesting (mental note, should have gone with the Chicken option).
Mid flight snack was some snack noodles & Matcha Tea Milk Bread.
Pre arrival meal was some DIY Creamy Carbonara Short Pasta & side dishes… this was very tasty.
During the flight I opted to go back to the Economy cabin where there were plenty of empty rows, and managed to get a good lie down and some quality sleep over 4 seats (poor mans business class).
Flew directly over Tromso, Norway, and Lapland on our approach into Helsinki Airport.
Arrived into Helsinki on Christmas Day, 2022.
Next up will be the Finnair lounge and flights from Helsinki to Stockholm.
