Gangasagar Mela, one of the most Holiest Pilgrimage, take place every year on 14th January (Makar Sankranti) when millions of pilgrims take bath in Gangasagar to receive Moksha. Previously it was a difficult journey due to lack of proper transport communication hence referred as “SAB TIRTHA BAR BAR, GANGASAGAR EKBAR” but now situation is improved. One can easily visit Gangasagar in just few hours.
