When Baguio was in the early years, Mines View Park was one of the highest area one can go to get a good top-of-the-mountain view of the Baguio mountains, but now there are other areas that can offer the same great views. Mines View Park remained a nostalgic get-away for visiting tourists and eventually has become commercialized because of its continued popularity. At the gazebo's edge, back then there were no houses as far as you can see and people would often throw coins down below to the waiting children of the miners. Fast fact- Did you know pine trees are not endemic to Baguio? They were brought in and planted by the Americans.
😁😂 You do look the part Mergim! Suits you! Stay safe & enjoy Baguio! Been to Baguio twice bur never tried one of these costumes! Not happening in the 80s, wish they did ! 😁👍
Suggestion:…. from Baguio, Benguet province you go up north and visit SAGADA (mountain province) you can visit Bomood falls/ Hanging coffins/sea of clouds/eat Itag in restaurants etc..) …. then go down to Bontoc, capital of Mountain province where you will see huge mountain ranges and massive rice terraces ……. going down to Banaue Ifugao and visiting the world famous and 8th wonder of the world Banaue rice Terraces and Tappiyah falls etc …then you can go down the CAR (CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION) to nueva vizcaya…nueva ecija pangasinan and eventually to Manila.
baguio is nice but like some of the comments, it’s too commercialized. i suggest visiting sagada, banaue, mountain province, etc. to feel the raw mountain communities.
Hello Sir Mergim. if you will go back to Baguio, i hope you can visit the Aguinaldo Museum. its a museum dedicated to the life of the very first filipino president. it also displays the very first Filipino flag that was ever made, handsewn by the three women in history. i hope they will allow vlogging inside, im not sure…
I hope you will explore more of the northern Philipines. Ilocos offers cultural tourism (Spanish architectures) if you are interested and Batanes for more of sea and mountain adventures.
