Red Force is the tallest and fastest coaster in all of Europe. And it’s the signature ride at Ferrari Land at the PortAventura Resort. This Intamin accelerator coaster launches riders to 112 mph (180 kph) and reaches heights of 367 feet (112 meters). Unlike the previous accelerator coasters that used hydraulic launches, Red Force uses LSMs. And I think it may actually be a better ride!

  1. While I will certainly miss Hydraulic launches, LSM launches are still thrilling and are very reliable. I wish that hydraulic launches were more reliable than they are, but nothing lasts forever.

  2. This coaster looks insane, as a car enthusiast as well as a coaster enthusiast I would love to ride this and visit both Ferrari worlds

  3. Riding this thing was the scariest ride I have ever done. Seriously, my first ride afterwards made me physically exhausted and emotionally drained. No other roller coaster has ever done that to me. And I haven't even done Dragster or Kingda Ka yet…

  4. If sucks how I had to wait like 1 1/2-2 hours in the queue but luck struck me when I got sent to the front row and wore some glasses. Overall a fast and fun ride, literally the giga lsm brother to TTD and Kingda Ka.

  5. Epic review!
have you/will you ever go to thorpe park, since they have a good line-up and stealth is an amazing hydraulic-launch coaster!

  6. Unfortunately my train was delayed and I wasn’t able tos we the famed “Red Force run”

  7. what time is the park open compared to the coaster? how much time before should i join the queue to be front?

  8. Glad you enjoyed Red Force, personally it's easily in my top 5. I don't think my breath has ever been taken away like that on a coaster before riding this. Frustratingly I only managed rides on rows 2 and 5 however even those were incredible. Best part was that the LSMs could be heard from our hotel in Salou, and I was awoken by it rollback testing at 7am!

  9. I actually preferred the smaller hydraulic launch of Stealth to this – Red Force didn't quite have that completely overwhelming, take-your-breath-away launch that the hydraulics give you. It was also a bit shaky on the launch (not painful, but distracting), and the extra height wasn't all that noticeable, strangely.

  10. If Cedar Point does switch the hydraulic launch on Top Thrill Dragster with the same LSM system found on this ride, do you think Six Flags Great Adventure might one day do the same thing to Kingda Ka afterwards?

  11. The original rendering also showed Intamin over the shoulder restraints and 5 car trains with the first and last car seating 2 riders. However, a later rendering showed 3 car trains.

  12. It's not quite fair for people to say coasters like this are a one trick poney: they have the biggest drops in the world and this one is straight, unlike TTD which is down and KK; (the latter of which is trimmed on the top, crapping on its record breaking drop) and so rough it actually is a one trick pony imo. But Red Force looks like it has an elite drop of about 338' with nothing more than a 90 degree left turn after it gets vertical and stays that way until it must pull out if the dive. It's drop might not be as good as a Giga, the staggered seating B&M hypers, Skyrush or El Toro, but it's better than any strata. Between TTD KK and Red Force: I'd say a front row ride is most important on KK since KK sucks unless one is in the front car. In conclusion: I agree with you that I think I'd like this better than either TTD or KK even though I've ridden TTD and KK but I've never even been to Spain. Love the video; thanks for posing!

  13. When i rode Red force in summer there was a line of more then 2 hours! It took so long that we bought 18 fast passes just for Red Force…

  14. 12:08 they just copy-pasted kingda Ka for the promotional material. They didn't even bother to remove zumanjaro

  15. Ring Racer was supposed to be quite a lot faster than the 160 km/h it opened with. That coaster was an incredible failure. And the layout is really stupid. Well… now it‘s an interesting lamp post as far as I know 🙈

Do-Dodonpa is still out of operation if I didn’t miss any updates. The highest acceleration caused back issues for too many riders.

Regarding comfort and smoothness: I had a rather bad time in the back this summer. Felt kind of like a beating. At 180km/h some rattle can get uncomfortable pretty quickly. I guess tires were to be replaced if you don‘t feel the same or it‘s a problem with higher temperatures. Loved it i the front row ❤
