Harbin City Ice Festival Winter Travel

Harbin, in Northeastern China, has a population of over 5 million people. While it is a popular tourist destination all year, things really heat up in the winter. This is the season for the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, which draws millions of tourists each year.

Thousands of workers and artists spend weeks preparing for the festival, which normally begins in early January. The majority of the center of the celebration is on a few authorized theme parks, however, there are activities across the city.
