With temperatures going above 50°C in the summer and no rain for years this is some of the most EXTREME conditions to survive! These are the Bedouin of Oman. Deep in the desert nomadic Bedouin people travel across the desert with their animals following the grass. Badar is our Bedouin guide for the day and we’ve got an incredible day of eating scheduled!
First off as with any introduction in Oman is the compulsory coffee and dates. This time we’re brewing saffron and cardamom coffee on wood fire. So simple and so good!
For the food we’re cooking orseya (a rice and meat porridge) and goat meat seasoned and grilled on rocks. These guys are seemingly unaffected but the sweltering heat, but do note that it is increasingly getting hotter in the desert due to climate change.

Luke, 🥺 don't take this the wrong way. It's nothing nasty it just happens to be something that I feel that I see and it comes to my heart which you should hold your. Since you have the new partner I just want to tell you you have grown some no I should say matured to a whole new capacity it wasn't like you weren't grown and mature before but she has brought something out of you that is even more so and I see it and I hear it coming from you and that is a good thing she's absolutely beautiful and he's doing something right for your soul and that is important it's very hard to find okay I just wanted to tell you that and I took some stepping forward on you because I don't know you personally but I watch you everyday so that there is a form of camaraderie that I have with all of you and you've taught me so many things about food and food from countries that people don't want to even think of going to how foolish they be because the food is absolutely spectacular I am funny when it comes to food I like to try different countries I think my country the USA is learning from all of these other countries All about Time because we don't need to be just the meat and potato country so thank you for all you give us and I hope you take what I speak to your heart and hold on to it she is so gorgeous.
