A big thank you to @Vessi for sponsoring this video. The people and places encounter in the Philippines just keep getting better and better and that goes for buffets too! After getting the spend the day with good friend Sam and JR exploring Tagatay and enjoying their wonderful hearty soups, bulalo, I thought I’d do some exploring on my own as the friends have tired out. So glad that you are able to join me.
After visiting great places like @OkadaManilaIntegratedResort Buffet and @Solaireresort ‘s Lobster buffet, I was excited to visit the Spiral Buffet at the @sofitelmanilahotel . For years, I have great things about this luxurious seafood buffet from the greats like Mike Chen and Mark Wiens, but never had a chance to visit even though have worked in Manila years back (it was all work and cup of noodles to tie me over). But now, I’m so grateful to meet up with great friend (in person and virtually) to enjoy this massive feast! And yes, massive it was! A touch of luxury with the decadent lobsters and seafood with a bit of pretentiousness (in the best possible way) with a cheese room offering 100 cheeses from the aromatic to the pungent. The the dozens of different stations, all preparing dishes to perfection, the ones to look out for was definitely the French station and the Asian noodle station. From seafood to prime rib, and foie gras (for those who indulge) to balut, there’s something for everyone. An above all else, it was the people; servers and hosts made it special and it’s always a treat to meet new friends and fellow guests.
I hope you get a chance to try some of the great places in Manila! Hope you’re keeping well and eating well.. the following links may be of help:

Hard to watch this while hungry and in cold Canada. More awesome food and a nice warm climate. I hope you have a Merry Christmas. Cheers Tim and God Bless! ✌️🇨🇦

Thank you very much, Tim, for patronizing the Philippines! Enjoy! 👍
Fantastic video Tim. Yummmmm
NIce…what is the best time/month to go to Manila. I wonder
I could feel my cholesterol levels going up watching you eat the butter and cheese dishes. You make the best buffet and dinning videos on YT. Keep eating well and stay healthy for the holidays and the coming New Year.
Lapu lapu is grouper.
Whoooooooooooooooaaaa Delish!!!
This is my favorite video Tim, beautiful surroundings and awesome food and great desserts. So jealous and safe travels.
Puto Bumbong
Did you mention how much that buffet meal was?
Tim sure knows how to enjoy life 😂. Nothing this good back in Vancouver 🥱
Spiral will always be on my top buffets in the Philippines. Wonderful selection of a wide variety of cuisines, but I especially appreciate their cold cuts and cheeses.
I love how you say everyone’s name like you’ve known them for years. Sadly I need to go on a diet when I watch your video’s because I destroy my refrigerator during them
timmmmmmmm i just found you and i am so happy. ive done all the huge food bloggers but they become so produced and its so nice to hang out with you so normal and relaxed . THANK Y OU
the secret to eating Balut is you really have to be drunk
Looks sooooo good!! Tim eats at the most amazing places!! 🥰🥰🥰
I want some pata boom boom lol.
You're so polite. Thanks Tim.
The noodle station was my favorite. Especially the laksa. I still think about the Sofitel buffet.
Epoisses is from the Burgundy region in France. You are right that it is a wash rind cheese. The saline solution that is used to wash to cheese contains a bacterium called Brevibaterium linens, the same bacterium that is known to be associated with body odor. The 19th century french gourmand hailed it “the king of cheese”. Glad you liked it.
Everything looks so delicious love watching you eat good interesting food I would love to travel and eat good food one day keep bringing the videos I love it and you ❤❤😊😊
It look like Singapore has some very nice Buffay
Good they brought back the lobster, the buffet was lacking in August.
The foodie in me rejoices. I would LOVE to go here and eat, rest and eat again!
Only joking! but i'd love to see Tim get wasted ? angry and start smashing plates lol hehe.
are those maine lobsters? if so, do they taste as fresh as nordic lodge or palms casino ayc lobster? I'd be surprised if they taste as fresh as nordic.
Tim, have you ever tried Manila’s street food ?
Why don’t you soak your whole two feet into the water with the shoes on for a minute or two, and see if water soaks through your shoes making your socks wet too !
Don’t be too greedy, Tim. Finish what you have on your table first. You mentioned your table is too small, so why not just finish your food before you go for seconds or thirds.
it is puto bong bong.
Hi tim great video wow soooo much good food I bet you needed a nap after all that food😀 it's looks worth every penny. Looking forward to the next episode thanks for sharing Tim
What a cool buffet place Tim for all the years I've lived here in the Philippines I've never been there before. What 90 bucks for a dinner buffet ? places like that are supposed to be cheaper here in the Philippines
