  1. The north shore of Lake Superior is another spectacular autumn area to visit if you're ever looking for another spot.

  2. Loving your channel. Come back to Britain one day please ( sampling British food was where I first found you and been watching and enjoying ever since ) I have to ask politely Eric, what’s the plan with your hair? ( genuinely curious , not being rude ) The Jamaican food looked gorgeous 🤤 Looking forward to the next episode, stay safe guys. Best wishes from Britain 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸

  3. As you enjoy the northeast please please please stay on trails, out of the leaves and do tick checks at night! We are having a horrible tick season during October and November!

  4. Highly recommend the thousand islands if you like river castles

  5. I live in the Hudson Valley and fall is truly one of the most magical times of the year here!
You guys did some of our favorite local fall activities! The Pumpkin Blaze is always so much fun for us.
Glad you enjoyed our beautiful area of NY State!❤

  6. This was awesome ❤ The Blaze festival in particular was next level! 😍 I've added several of your featured spots to my list of things to check out in the US if I ever get there 🥰 Thanks for the tour guys! ☺

  7. OMG!!! What a beautiful area. Thanks for showcasing the Hudson Valley! Another one added to my bucket list!

  8. Y'all are so corny and we love it! We have never been to New York State and we will need to correct this someday. Love the video, as always! Thanks for sharing.

  9. All the research you put in is totally worth it. You always find the most interesting places to eat, visit and stay.

  10. I'm a little concerned about Eric, to me he's looking very pale and gaunt, those bags under the eyes, he basically looks shattered. I hope he's taking care of himself.

  11. I keep asking Kara and Nate to come here! I'm so excited to see you guys here, it's always nice seeing the hudson valley and NY being shown in a positive life. I live literally a walk away from the walkway in on the highland side, born and raised in Newburgh. So neat.

  12. As someone who lives in the Hudson Valley, you definitely hit up some amazing spots and loved the video. You also came at the right time to explore the northeast in the Fall. There is a ton of history in the Hudson Valley of course, and its impossible to see it all in 2-3 days, but if you ever make it back and you're history buffs, I would totally suggest hitting up some of the famous houses like Kykuit (Rockefeller Estate), Sunnyside (Washington Irving's Estate), both of which are right near where you were (Sleepy Hollow). There's also FDR's Home and Presidential Library in Hyde Park. Of course, most of thee homes have tours and require reservations to get the whole experience, but totally worth it.

  13. Great tour of my old stomping grounds! Traveling up RT 209, did you guys stop at the Hasbrouck House in Stoneridge? And if you stopped in Woodstock NY, just a few miles out side town up the mountain is an authentic Tibetan Monastery and Temple. Across the street are some pretty great hiking trails that take you all the way up to an awesome view of the entire area. With the Mohonk Mountain House, not sure if they still offer along with a trail pass, you can purchase a meal ticket and take advantage of their dining hall. And yes, great eats at Top Taste!

  14. Hi guys! Im assuming by this point you’re already in New Hampshire on your trip but if you need any suggestions on the southern or coastal part of the state (hikes/breweries/etc), let me know!

    Thanks for the content!

  15. Hi Eric and Allison What's going on Adventures that was an amazing time I do have to ask though Is it possible to put a Truck camper on the truck so that you can stay right their instead of the Camp sites your at ?

  16. The Hudson Valley is beautiful and would some day visit the state of New York. Have fun and Stay safe. Walk in Peace.

  17. Mohonk has a great brunch. If you go during the week it is cheaper and it includes access to the grounds and 4:00 tea. Hyde Park is amazing! Culinary Institute of America has multiple restaurants. Apple Pie Bakery is a great option for lunch and of course dessert. All the mansions along the Hudson are must sees. If you don’t want to tour the houses, most of the grounds are free. Olana is our favorite! Rossi Rossi Italian Deli is a must in Poughkeepsie.

  18. 30 minutes north of Manhattan in a beautiful area sounds like a great place to live

  19. I didn't even know you could 'star' things on google maps, which would be so handy on trips. I've just been having to look things up over and over!

  20. amazing you guys explored right in NYCs backyard and made it seem so countryside. Love this area. I live in queens NYC and pretty much everywhere you went is my hiking zone in New York! and great time of year to go as well! hope you enjoyed!

  21. Pretty cool to see as I live here. But I gotta ask where is that camp ground at in the beginning of the video?

  22. Personally, I prefer the area north of Albany in the Adirondack mountains… Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs, and Lake George.

  23. The next time your in New York you have to check out 1000 islands an Adirondack State Park. I think you would love it.

  24. Bannerman's Island was built up by a man who was a Scottish immigrant he n NYC. From a young age, he got into collecting military surplus and became very successful. At one point, he had accumulated quite a lot of military surplus, including explosives, which he was storing in a big Warehouse just in the middle of New York City. People didn't want him keeping all those explosives there!

Around that time he had been traveling upstate and noticed on his train rides a big island in the middle of the river. He wanted to purchase that island, so he found the owner of the land and purchased it from her. It was there that he built his castle.

It was not a well-constructed building. It was kind of hastily built, and he used the briny water from the river so the rocks disintegrated pretty quickly. Still it stands as an interesting monument.
