1976年7月1日の長崎本線の全線電化にあわせて誕生した特急「かもめ」。46年の長きにわたり使われた「かもめ」の名前は、2022年9月23日の西九州新幹線開業に伴い、新たな新幹線の名前として引き継がれるとともに、従来の在来線特急「かもめ」は武雄温泉駅で新幹線「かもめ」に接続する「リレーかもめ」に改称されました。今回の動画では2022年9月22日の在来線特急「かもめ」の最終日と翌23日の「リレーかもめ」初日の光景をお届けします。
The limited express KAMOME was born in conjunction with the electrification of the Nagasaki Main Line on July 1, 1976. The name KAMOME, which has been in use for 46 years, will be taken over as the name of the new Shinkansen with the opening of the Nishi-Kyushu Shinkansen on September 23, 2022. And conventional line’s train was renamed RELAY KAMOME to connect to Shinkansen KAMOME at Takeo-onsen Station. In this video, we will show you the last day of the conventional line’s limited express KAMOME on September 22, 2022 and the first day of the RELAY KAMOME on the 23rd.
