Time to pack up and leave the Airbnb at Melbourne Florida. We decided to drive up to Cape Canaveral on the way home to check out a couple of places.
First, we head to breakfast at the Southern Charm Cafe, an oh boy this place has tons of charm and some great deals on scrummy breakfasts.
Next, we head over to Port Canaveral to check out the Manatee Preserve and the Exploration tower two options to spend a few hours on your day out in this area.
Finally, we drive home and give you a quick look round Winn-Dixie another Southern chain this time a supermarket. Once home we give the big reveal to a new addition to Red 5

We have been to that park twice and never seen a manatee there yet but we have seen them in Blue Springs and Tampa Bay Electric and Blairs cove at Merrit Island near Kennedy.
We always use Winn Dixie when in Orlando
I have looked all over the Space Coast to find manatees…. Blue Springs is the only spot I’ve seen them…. They are seen a lot in Titusville. Not by me …yet.

There’s so much more to central Florida than the theme parks. Nice to see you exploring more. That breakfast was great for the price.
If it is cold, we have had great luck seeing manatees in DeSoto Park in Satellite Beach.
Tampa Electric has a power plant in Apollo Beach that circulates warm water into Tampa Bay. In the winter, manatees flock to it! Check it out if you’re ever on the gulf coast – there’s a whole manatee viewing center there to see them.

From a locals perspective please can you perhaps do a vlog on how Disney pricing is changing. I would love to take my granddaughter next year as she will be old enough to appreciate. But sounds like unless you pay extra on top of the entrance ticket we will be lucky if we get on a handful of rides each day.. And evidently buying Genie will not include the most popular and will have to pay even more individually to fast track. Xx

We visited the Exploration tower a few years ago. It was a really interesting place telling you about the history of space travel and had a really nice cafe with home made cakes.
