In this video I’ll try to explain a bit how the Japanese train system works. The first time I visited Japan, I was a bit lost, as there are so many train companies, lines, services, tickets,… It mainly focuses on the JR companies, but also you can find some information on private ones. Of course, the main focus is on Shinkansen! All the footage comes from my last trip to Japan, in June 2022. I bought the JR pass for a week, so I could travel from Yamagata to Kyushu, and see so many different trains! Enjoy!
