Naughty Grandma's Serve Tasty Japanese Street Food



These two grandma’s are sisters and serve tasty Japanese street food in the Nagahama area of Fukuoka Japan. They are 81 and 77 respectively and full of life and laughter, they really enjoy talking with their customers. They are one of two yatai left in this area of Fukuoka, if you have a chance please visit them!

    My goodness… they’re adorable and so hardworking. It warms my heart so much seeing people of age doing something they love (although I wish they didn’t have to work THAT hard, but who am I to stop those grandmas lol😅they work way harder than me…). Their stall is so clean and well organized (and the little touches, like the flower decorations… you just feel at home). The food looks DELICIOUS! Nothing beats oden on a chilling night (theirs is freshly made and you can tell the quality from the video). But the main course is, surely, their convivial and good humor nature. They make you feel free to interact, to talk, to laugh together. This is truly wonderful! It’s not just those ladies who’d feel motivated to keep going, I bet their customers feel the same. The young fella laughing at the end made my day. Now I want to visit grandmas’ yatai and have a hearty serving of their oden and shochu, and share a bit of their company😊
