The Mosaic Tile Museum in Tajimi City (Gifu Prefecture) displays decorative Japanese mosaic tiles made of ceramic made in Tajimi City, which has an amazing 1,300 year old history of pottery.

The Mosaic Tile Museum has an unforgettably unique appearance inspired by the clay mounds from which the mosaic tiles are made. The earthy tones of the museum together with the blue sky and verdant green grass make for an incredible sight and is usually the first thing to be enjoyed by people visiting the museum.

Besides discovering a wide range of tiles on display, here you can also try making some of your very own.
