Tokoname City in Aichi Prefecture is located right in the middle of the Chita Peninsula, located south of Nagoya, facing the coast on the west side, and is about 30 minutes away by train from Nagoya.

Tokoname City is also widely known as the gateway to the sky because of the Chubu Centrair International Airport.

Ceramics (pottery manufacturing) is one of the industries that Tokoname represents, and the townscape that retains the atmosphere of the early Showa era, which was the most prosperous, is the “Tokoname Pottery Footpath.”

You can feel nostalgic when you walk while looking at the historical industrial heritage sites such as chimneys, kilns, factories, etc. that have been disused with the times.

Many writers and craftsmen live and work in this village even today.
Starting with wonderful galleries and cafés, there are also shops that handle special miscellaneous goods, and there were many young people and families.
Please visit when you come to Nagoya.
