We visited Kumamoto castle. The castle was hit by a huge earthquake in 2016 and a lot of damages were caused. Still, the scars from the earthquake remain but it is steadily rebuilt by its local people’s hands. We both felt how important the castle is for people in Kumamoto and it was absolutely beautiful.
