Exploring Seoul: Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul City Wall, Gwangjang and Namdaemun Market

Our last couple of days in Seoul we did quite a bit of exploring!

We started off with Gwanghwamun and Gyeongbokgung Palace right in the heart of Seoul. From there we took a somewhat relaxing break at a local Jjimjilbang and got our body scrubs in before heading to the famous Gwangjang Market. We managed to munch on some delicious knife cut noodles at Cho Yonsoon’s stall as featured on Netflix Street Food: Asia! That evening we met with our friends in Itaewon for some rooftop drinks. We took a long, hilly but manageable walk all the way back to the hotel getting in some sights of Seoul along the way.

The next day grabbed a bite and chilled at a cafe followed by a visit to Namdaemun Market for some street food snacks and souvenir shopping. Later in the day we spent some time checking out the Dongdaemun area including the Design Plaza and the Seoul City Wall. We also finally got our hands on some delicious Korean fried chicken and beer. That night we kept it low key, but wanted to explore the sights and crowds with plenty of busking in Hongdae.
