$25 KL Tower Observation Deck 🇲🇾 (worth it?)

Today we go on a stroll from Central Kuala Lumpur to KL Tower. I share with you the differences that I’ve noticed here in Kuala Lumpur and Indonesia. Mostly how here in Kuala Lumpur, you don’t see a lot of statues or monuments commemorating their independence as you do in Indonesia. When you go just about anywhere in Indonesia, you see their national heroes enshrined in statues all over the island, and rightfully so, they should be proud of their fight for independence.

I get lost and make a couple wrong turns but I eventually find my way to the KL Tower. I pay $25 to go to the very top observation deck. Luckily it was a clear day I could get a nice view of the city. I kinda regret not going at night though as I’m sure seeing the city lights light up is pretty cool.

More videos from Kuala Lumpur to come, stay tuned!

  1. I just realized that the buildings in Malaysia are much less quiet than Jakarta, but they look a lot because they are neatly arranged at one point

  2. 0:56 Do good and Good Will come to You.
2:39 I never learned about this in my history lesson back then. From the articles I read: Soekarno refused to pay this debt until he died . soeharto started pay the debt. Netherland contributed to development of Indonesia by brought investments in Indonesia. Sby paid off the debt completely.
I would rather spend $25 for other things useful.

  3. Actually we don't build statue for independent commemoration but most cities/town did build something like clock tower. Building statue is not our tradition as also bad example of Islamic value. Maybe you can see one sculpture of soldier at Tugu Negara which was build by American but even since Islamic figure asking for demolishment.

  4. one of the main reasons we dont really erect statues in our cities especially statues of a human, its actually is forbidden in islam, for example, if there is a human statue or animal statue in our house, we been taught that the angels will not enter the house as long as the statues there….so in msia we dont really encourage these types of statues…if you have time please do watch "Mat Kilau" movie, i believe its still play on cinemas.its a story about one of a malay warrior…hope you will watch the movie, it does explain abit about the malay struggles…bye

  5. British city design definitely better than dutch because from what i read amsterdam and also jakarta is sinking at a very fast rate at this point (considering their city design and layout must be pretty much the same).

  6. Nick, It seems that you haven't explored Jakarta as much as other Big cities. I had been watching your video last time when you visited Kota Tua and It would be nice if you could explore more areas in Central, South and other modern area in Jakarta. Jakarta is huge and If possible you can go to down town or Business/offices area and you will see the differences beetween Jakarta and other Capital cities in South East Asia. Jakarta has been developed becoming a modern City and few areas already looked alike New York City in the last few years back. Enjoy Jakarta ya Nick.. peace✌🏻✌🏾😊

  7. Nick, there is a good Aircon walkway from Pavilion Shopping Mall to KLCC Mall. I use MAP to lead me walk from one place to another when I was in Georgetown Penang. It helps a lot especially when you have to cross the road on busy streets and the fastest way to go to the destination.

  8. Nick, since you love history, I would suggest visit to Malacca. You can see the Dutch, Portuguese and British footings. It is about 2 hours drive from KL. The easiest way is to buy full day historical tour of Malacca and you can buy it from receptionist at hotel lobby.

  9. We don't build statues of living beings such as animals n humans…. Our way of remembering the malay heroes is to erect plaques with their name on it or built memorials like clock towers etc, there are also sculptures of keris etc to remind us of our malay heritage…. If not all those there are historical centres/museums dotted all over Malaysia dedicated to a certain hero. Or we take care of their graves…

Indonesia bumi pertiwi.

  13. Are you still in KL saw how you mentioned about motorbike taxis like gojek in jakarta.. in Kuala Lumpur there is an app called DEGO Ride.

  14. There are still debate about Malaysia Independent, many talks and lecture from Prof. of Malaysia explain about it, we can learm so much from their knowledge of Malaysia history

  15. Wow Nick you are looked so high There. Don't forget to go down to continue your videos hahaha

  16. Don't forget to visit to every side of inside village or kampung in Malaysia.

  17. Islam is our main religion, statue or human n animals are not our thing, except on others religious beliefs places 😊🇲🇾❤️👍plus no gojek here, we practice our religion seriously, its un appropriate, if women ride on other man, touching him better taxi or grab😁👍
