Are you excited to get lost with me for a day in this beautiful Japanese American district called Little Tokyo located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Get ready to try some mouth watering mochis, matcha donuts, hot ramen, sushi, miso soup, snacks and overload on some sugary lattes from the best restaurants in the area.

I’m also going to show you some cute toys I found, although some of the shops had closed early so I just stared at them from the outside and cried internally haha, but that gives me an excuse to go back again right? 😛

Fugetsu-Do: A family-owned & -operated confectionery store since 1903 specializing in Japanese treats & mochi. Try their Sakura Mochi if you can, it’s the BEST! Note, these are seasonal treats though, so do check their website before you head out there.

Cafe Dulce: A casual counter-serve cafe offering specialty coffees, light fare, pastries & baked goods. I tried their Matcha Latte with some delicious Peanut Butter and Cinnamon crunch donuts. They had just baked a fresh batch of Oreo donuts, I’m saving it for the next time.

Nijiya Market Little Tokyo Store: A Japanese supermarket with vegetables, meat, fish & sushi, dry goods & a bakery. What more can you ask you!!

Next stop “Head out to Big Tokyo ミ=͟͟͞͞(✿ʘ ᴗʘ)っ”
