As long as your respectful to others and always be the better person in situations where you know it can get bad it’s best to walk away or just apologies… and still walk away. If you go with friends make you you know them really well meaning you know how they are when they drink. The worst thing that can happen is your friend starting problems. People are friendly and people are also somebody’s in Tijuana. Don’t mess with a person or disrespect a person that can be a somebody. Meaning a person of power. Meaning someone that can… you know. The worst. But as long as you do you and mind your biz and nicely say “no gracias” to vendors your good! Avoid pan handlers and their sad stories on why they need money. Avoid it avoid it !! The moment they walk up to you like ‘hey sit my car is about to get towed if I don’t take it out the parking and I just lost…’ no walk away ! At the clubs when you pay make sure what bill you give them and even say the amount! I once had a waiter tell me “hey sure you gave me 20, it’s 150’ when I know
I gave him the 200 pesos in the first place! He will take your money make small talk at the table and switch the money in his back pocket with a 20 and tell you the excuse.

I started going to the Adelita Bar in the mid 80's back when I was the only American in it. I would go every weekend and usually stay until closing. Be sure to tip well and be sure to tip the manager. If things go south and the cops come, the staff will be on your side and so will the police. It's happened a couple times throughout the years.
