When is the best time to climb Mt. Fuji? 2022 Mount Fuji climbing season is from July 1 to September 10. Outside the set dates, general climbers are not allowed above 5th station. Get ready!

BULLET CLIMBING, in Japanese dangan touzan 弾丸登山, is a way of climbing Mt. Fuji during the night without proper sleep and rest, and descending in the next morning. This type of climbing is strongly discouraged since the bullet climbers tend to have more mountain sickness, low oxygen saturation level and serious fatigue; [ climb Mount Fuji in one day – dangan tozan ].

Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station is accessible by passenger cars for a limited time during the climbing season. You must check the official websites to find out more about the vehicle restriction procedures. If you drive full electric vehicle, you are allowed to access 5th station by your car.

Yoshida Trail is the most convenient for the first time climbers. If you are looking for some challenge, then take Gotemba Trail which might take 7-11 hours to reach the summit.

Check weather information before climbing. Clear weather allows you to experience stunning view of the sunrise and the crater; as well as Mt. Fuji silhouette.

Climbing Mount Fuji is kind of must if you are living in Japan 🙂
