This ship has made history as part of the events associated with the coronavirus that afflicts us this year.
On 20th January 2020, the day we left Diamond Princess in Yokohama, a new group of passengers boarded the ship expecting to enjoy the same wonderful moments we had in the previous two weeks. One of them was an 80-year-old gentleman who sailed for 5 days and left the ship in Hong Kong. He was diagnosed with COVID-19 6 days later. On 4th February 10 passengers of the ship also had a positive test. The ship ended up in quarantine until 1st March. To date, 712 of the 3,711 passengers and crew members have been infected. As of 14th March 14 of those infected had died.
