The former post town of Ouchijuku in Fukushima is renowned for numerous charming thatched roof buildings, which date back to the Edo period. It’s a nice alternative to the more well-known thatched roof structures at Shirakawago in Gifu, and we loved this collection of photos from @ariel.land’s recent summertime visit. 🌞
The town looks completely different in the winter months when it’s blanketed with smow, and as a result it’s a popular destination year-round.
