Konnichiwa from Hyogo Prefecture!
🏙 Stop by Kobe Harborland to enjoy waterfront dining and shopping. Did we mention it looks fantastic lit up at night? If you’re feeling extra indulgent try Kobe beef, perfectly marbled premium wagyu that melts in your mouth.
🌆 Another spectacular night view is the one from the summit of Mt Rokko. TIP: Head to Rokko Garden Terrace in time to watch the sunset and admire the view over Osaka Bay.

🏯 Less than an hour from Kobe you’ll find Himeji Castle aka ‘White Heron Castle’. With over 600 years of history, you’ll certainly learn a thing or two at this UNESCO World Heritage site. There are also over 1,000 cherry trees in the castle grounds making it a popular spot to see sakura.
🏖 On the northern coast of Hyogo is the peaceful seaside town of Takeno. Spend the day exploring its clear blue waters, coastal trails and traditional townscape. Visit at night in May and you might even be lucky enough to see rare bioluminescent plankton lighting up the water at Takeno Beach.
♨ Just a train stop away from Takeno Station is Kinosaki Onsen. This 1,300-year-old hot spring town boasts seven public bathhouses, all of which are tattoo friendly. Don a yukata and stroll along the willow-lined canal to onsen hop your way through them.
