Tokyo’s Fukutoku Shrine has an estimated history dating back to around the 9th Century, but these days it’s surrounded by the hustle and bustle of city life. Many people come here to pray for luck in winning the lottery, as the shrine was one of only a handful of places where you could purchase lottery tickets in the Edo period. If you need a bit of good fortune, try stopping by in the future! 💰
