Who puts a lone bench up on top of a rock? Honestly? 🌉🌃
At the southernmost tip of the Boso Peninsula in Chiba Prefecture, you’ll find an older lighthouse built in the western style. Nojimazaki Lighthouse was erected in the late 19th century by French engineer Léonce Verny. It overlooks Tokyo Bay and the Pacific Ocean and offers some fantastic views of the waters there.
A short walk from the lighthouse to the coast and you’ll find a strange white bench installed on top of the coastal rocks all by its lonesome. Seems like a silly place to build a bench, but it is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy a sunrise or a sunset! Or maybe even the field of stars in the skies above the bay?
A truly stunning photo, @onotch.x! Thanks so much!
