Russia doesn’t have a land border with Japan but the Isands have a marker in the sea. It’s a naval and air “border” that’ been encroaced many times. Japan’s Northern Territory is a history lesson that’s good to understand, read more about as this goes back to the Russo-Japan War in early 20th century.
