“My inspiration for Hunter’s look was a moody overcast misty morning, anime eyes, and of course Britney and JT’s iconic denim red carpet masterpiece,” says makeup artist @sandyganzer of the look she created for @hunterschafer at last night’s @vanityfair #Oscars after-party. “I love the way the icy blues and dusty charcoals pair with the denim Rick Owens gown. A touch of a pinky nude lip really compliments the stormy eye without either element overpowering each other.”
To recreate Hunter’s look, follow the steps below:
1. Start with the eye, using the Essentialist Eye Palette in Kaigan Street Waters as a base. Create a sharp wing, extending the color to the bottom lashes.
2. Add POP PowderGel Eye Shadow in Zaa-Zaa Navy to the lids to intensify color. Apply POP PowderGel Eye Shadow in Shari-Shari Silver to the inner corner and over the Navy shade to create a shimmering baby blue.
3. Intensify the lash line with ArchLiner Ink.
4. Add a natural glow to cheeks with InnerGlow CheekPowder in Medusa Pink and Aura Pink.
5. Finish off the look with a sheer wash of LacquerInk LipShine in Mirror Mauve.
