Hidden in a dense cypress forest that surrounds the town of Takamori in Kumamoto Prefecture, lies the atmospheric Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine. ⛩️ Ancient stairs, flanked by 100 moss-covered stone lanterns must be climbed to reach the shrine. Enveloped in a mystical atmosphere, it’s not hard to guess why this spot has become a must-visit when travelling to the Aso area.
