If the design brief for Echizen Ono Castle was ‘reach for the stars’, the architects certainly nailed it! 🌟 You’ll find this hidden gem perched atop Mt Kameyama in the northwestern part of Ono City in Fukui Prefecture, at an altitude of about 249 metres. Feel on top of the world as you take in panoramic vistas of the surrounding mountains and castle town below. 😍

Head to Mt Inuyama to capture photos of the castle from afar. If conditions are just right, you might even see a castle ‘floating’ in the clouds.
