🎌🥉BACK ON THE PODIUM🥉🎌

@Japan_WR successfully defended its Rio 2016 bronze medal on Sunday, defeating Australia 60-52 in the #Tokyo2020 #Paralympics third-place #wheelchairrugby final at Yoyogi International Gymnasium.

Daisuke Ikezaki led Japan with 23 tries, while captain Yukinobu Ike contributed 16 of his own over nearly 28 minutes of play — the most among the squad.

The medal is head coach Kevin Orr’s third: He previously won silver with Canada at London 2012 and bronze with the United States at Athens 2004.
