Seeing double? Nagasaki’s Meganebashi Bridge, also affectionately known as ‘Spectacles Bridge’ (for obvious reasons), is said to be one of Japan’s oldest Chinese-style stone arch bridges, built in 1634. 👓 Although significantly damaged in 1982 from floodwaters, the bridge was lovingly restored using the same stones.
TOP TIP: Heart-shaped stones have been hidden in various rock-works around the city so be sure to keep your eyes peeled along Nakashima River – for those lucky enough to find them, good luck, happiness and eternal love is coming your way! 👀
