Now this is what we call blending art with nature – rice paddy art! Gyoda City in Saitama Prefecture is where you can see the Guinness World Record listed ‘Largest Rice Field Art’ at 2.8 hectares! Each year, colourful rice varieties are planted in a way that makes them grow into a design, with mid-July to mid-October being the best time to marvel at its progress. Appreciate this year’s design, inspired by ukiyo-e (woodblock prints) and kabuki (theatre). 🌊🗻
