In September 1945, Japanese forces began to surrender en masse. Today we’re looking at one of WW2’s last mass surrenders in the Philippines, which culminated on September 22nd at Guinsuan in Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental. We have some background information about what happened to Japanese forces between the last battles around Dumaguete in June and the surrenders, with some stories from a local historian and a short interview with a resident who saw the surrender himself.
