Remarkably, this elegant and quintessentially Japanese five-arched wooden bridge was originally constructed without use of any nails!
Considered one of the three great bridges in the country, Kintaikyo Bridge looks particularly impressive come spring, when 3,000 cherry blossom trees bloom around the bridge and in nearby Kikko Park. 🌸
📍Located in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, it takes around 40 minutes by train from Hiroshima Station to Iwakuni Station, followed by a 20-minute bus trip.
