Have tattoos and want to enjoy onsen? ♨️ Traditionally people with tattoos were prohibited from these hot spring baths, but today the number of tattoo-friendly onsen is growing. The easiest way to enjoy them is to find a hotel or inn that offers guests the option of private onsen baths; if your body ink is small you may also be able to cover it up with a bandage or wrap if you want to use their communal baths.
