津山城は、岡山県津山市にある本能寺の変で討死した森蘭丸の弟森忠政が築城した名城です。
津山盆地の中央部に位置する日本三大平山城の一つでもあります。
廃城令によって建造物は破却されてしまいましたが、2015年に築城400年の記念事業として備中櫓が復元されています。城郭の石垣は大変見ごたえがあり、築城当時を偲ばせる佇まいを残しています。

Tsuyama Castle is a famous castle located in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture. One of Japan’s three major flatland-mountain castle located in the central part of the Tsuyama basin. Tsuyama Castle was built by Tadamasa Mori, the younger brother of Ranmaru Mori who died in the Honnoji Incident. The turret and castle tower were demolished by the abolition of the castle in the Meiji era, but stone wall retains the remnants of those days.
