Step inside one of Japan’s most unique art museums! 🤩🎨 Opened in 1969, the Hakone Open Air Museum was Japan’s first open-air art museum and now boasts a permanent collection of around 100 sculptures scattered around 70,000 square metres of lawns and gardens, featuring pieces like the Sfera con Sfera (Sphere within Sphere) by Italian sculptor Arnaldo Pomodoro (pictured). Don’t forget to also visit the Picasso Pavilion, which features more than 300 of the Spanish master’s works.📍 The museum is easily accessible from Tokyo making it a great day or overnight trip. Take the shinkansen from Tokyo to Odawara Station, transfer to the Odakyu to Hakone-Yumoto Station, then take the Hakone Tozan Line to Chokoku-no-Mori Station. 📷 Wonderfully captured by @angelaspin. #VisitJapanAU #Art
