“Goshiki-numa”, or Five Color Lakes, is one of Fukushima Prefecture’s most popular tourism destinations. Named for its brilliantly colored water, each lake has a different hue which can change depending on mineral content, weather, and light. The colors of each lake tend to fluctuate throughout the year so a second trip is highly recommended.
