February 8th 2020 Aomori city has one of the most amazing Festivals in Japan MOTSUKE MATSURI !! Here in part 1 we see the traditional NEBUTA paper figure lit up from inside on a Float being carried on their shoulder by locals wearing only Loin Cloth. A Tug of War Competition will take place outdoors in the snow and we will see it in the next episodes! At the end of everything there are FIREWORKS! A bit hard to see in the BLIZZARD but very interesting!! “Motsuke” means “passionate person” in the local Tsugaru dialect.
