You wouldn’t be wrong to think that there are some Western influences in the Former Hokkaido Government Office building. Built in 1888, the building was modelled on the Massachusetts State House in the US 🇯🇵🇺🇸 and is now home to historic exhibitions and seasonal events like Yosakoi dancing 💃 and market stalls in the summer.
