The large ginkgo tree in the town of Fukaura, Aomori Prefecture is known as “Big Yellow” and is over 1000 years old! And at over 100 feet high and 70 feet wide, this ginkgo tree is said to be the biggest in Japan. During autumn foliage season, the tree is lit up at night.
