► The Komachi E6 Shinkansen (AKA Akita Shinkansen) started service between Tokyo and Akita in March 2014. It runs at a top speed of 320 km/h (200mph).
In terms of design, it’s one of the most beautiful of the Shinkansen trains IMO.

All cars has a 2+2 seating (unlike the Tokaido Shinkansen which has a 2+3 seating) which basically means you’ll have an even more comfy ride on this one. The entire journey from Tokyo to Akita is 4h.4m. However, in this little video I jump off the Shinkansen at Sendai in the Tohoku Region – more videos from there to follow soon. – Enjoy!
