Christmas in Japan is full of unique customs and traditions. For starters Christmas here is a time when couples will most likely plan a romantic date at a restaurant, head to a German-style Christmas market or admire the many impressive Christmas light displays located throughout the country, but particularly in the major cities. Also eating fried chicken is actually a thing. In addition, Japan has it’s own unique take on Christmas sweets—Strawberry shortcake is the defacto “Christmas cake” and is sold at bakeries, supermarkets and department stores throughout the country.
No matter what your Christmas traditions are, we wish you the merriest of days full of friendship and joy 🎅🏼🛷🎄❄️😻❣️
