This amazing #tree, looking as if it is grabbing a rock, is located on the northern hillside of Mt. Kurodake in Yufu, Oita Prefecture. The abundant natural springs in the area formed a pond called Oike and nurtured this rich summer green forest. The water of Oike Yuusuigun (Oike Pond Springs) is listed as one of Japan’s 100 remarkable waters.
