Ahead of the reconvening of one of the world’s most exciting and impactful gatherings – the World Expo – we worked closely with Oman’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth to deliver the Sultanate of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The achievement was the culmination of months of dedicated work and seamless collaboration.

Under the theme ‘Designing Future Societies for Our Lives’, Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, runs for six months, from 13 April to 13 October, 2025, and expects to welcome 28.2 million visitors from around the world. With participation from more than 155 countries, the event aims to foster collaboration to address global challenges and promote the Sustainable Development Goals.

The Sultanate of Oman Pavilion, themed ‘Oman – Extended Links’, focuses on the interconnectedness of water, land, and humanity. Designed to reflect the country’s diverse natural and topographical features, the pavilion blends traditional elements with modern storytelling and showcases the adaptability of the Omani people and their harmonious coexistence with nature.

The Mace team has managed the project under a comprehensive design, build, operate, maintain, and demolish contract from 2023 to 2026. The team coordinated with Sato Facilities Consultants and Rebirth in Japan, and SIGONGtech from Korea, to bring this vision to life.

Featuring more than 30 events throughout the Expo that will promote Oman’s investment opportunities, tourism and cultural identity, the pavilion will be a space dedicated to cultural exchange, encouraging collaboration and innovative ideas for a more promising future.
