Akio Miyajima, former Ambassador of Japan to Poland and Distinguished Visiting Professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology, and Vice President Hitoshi Nakamura attended the “Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) Day” event held on April 23, 2025, at the Polish Pavilion at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan.
At the seminar “Polish and Japanese Universities”, Prof. Miyajima gave an address on the history of academic cooperation and relations between Poland and Japan, based on his experience as former Ambassador of Japan to Poland. The seminar was also attended by Maria Mrówczyńska, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland, who joined representatives of Polish and Japanese universities in a discussion on the further development of academic cooperation and personal exchange.
At the seminar “Study and Research in Poland”, Vice President Nakamura spoke about student exchange and joint research with several Polish universities, including AGH University of Krakow, and expressed his desire to strengthen ties in the future. Through this event, the University will further strengthen its international ties with AGH University of Krakow and other Polish institutions, and promote international contributions in both research and education.
