BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) – Tuesday was homecoming day for more than 200 members of the Vermont Air National Guard.

The service members returned home Tuesday morning following a deployment to the Kadena Air Base in Japan.

The Guard says the deployment of members of the 158th Fighter Wing was part of a planned rotation to enhance regional security and strengthen collaboration with allied forces. The airmen were gone for several months.
