More than 10 million international travelers visited Japan from January to March, surpassing the 10 million mark in the fastest speed.
According to the Japan National Tourist Organization, 3,497,600 foreign travelers visited Japan last month, a 13.5 percent increase over March 2024 and a record high for the month.
Demand for visits to Japan increased due to the cherry blossom season.
There were many visitors from countries such as China and the United States.
According to the Japan Tourism Agency, the amount spent by international visitors between January and March this year was 2,272 billion yen, another record high for the period from January to March.
