TOKYO: As many as 86.7% of Japanese households expect prices to rise a year from now, a quarterly survey showed in March, up from the previous survey’s figure of 85.7% in December, the Bank of Japan said on Friday.
Of the total households surveyed between Feb. 6 and March 4, 83.5% expect prices to rise five years from now, up from 82.5% in the December survey, it said.
