IHG Hotels & Resorts has officially introduced its luxury Vignette Collection to Japan, marking a significant milestone with the rebranding of the iconic RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka. Situated in the heart of Nakanoshima—known as the “City of Water”—the hotel becomes the first Japanese property to join the Vignette Collection, a brand defined by its individuality, cultural depth, and commitment to meaningful travel.

With a storied history dating back to 1935, the RIHGA Royal Hotel Osaka has long served as a hub for international and cultural exchange, welcoming dignitaries, imperial family members and celebrities from across the globe. Now reimagined under the Vignette Collection, the hotel blends this rich heritage with a renewed vision. Following extensive renovations, the property unveils more than 1,000 newly remodelled rooms and suites, including a remarkable 700m² suite—the largest of its kind in the city.
